Samsung NC10 - Need a few pointers regarding EFI V9

Hi there,

 

I am a long time Hackintosh user but have never really got under the cover of how it all works. I have pretty much got hold of a distro and installed it with the correct check boxes ticked and it has worked!

 

I have recently purchased a Samsung NC10 and want to install Leopard onto it but I am a little lost in the talk of EFI V9 & Chameleon etc.

 

What is it exactly that I need to install in order to to utilise apples system updater when there is a point release issued without destroying my system?

 

I have a copy of Kalyway 10.5.4 and also JAS 10.5.4 - I have also downloaded the relevant patches etc from BIKETOWN in readyness for this install.

 

Could someone please explain to me in relatively plain terms how to install and configure the efi v9/chameleon stuff? I am also interested in whether it is possible to update an existing Kalyway 10.5.4 (upgraded to 10.5.5) to use the efi v9/chameleon stuff and then use apple system updater to upgrade to 10.5.6 without ruining everything.
