GA-EP35-DS3L

Either HITACHI or WD 1TB HDD (S-ATA)

LITE-ON DVD drive (S-ATA)

4GB DDR2 867mhz (or 1ghz?) Corsair RAM

INTEL C2Q Q6600 CPU

Nvidia GeForce 8600/8800/9600/9800 GT (any of these?)

500 Watt PSU

lian-li pc-v1000 case

work?

And should I do BOOT132 or iDeneb (or another such hacked OSX)

It's a perfect build. Go for any of the nVidia cards, except the 9600GT. Although that works now, it's just a little trickier.

Use Boot-132 or iDeneb or anything. Search the forum if you want some help, or ask here.

you once found me a boot 132 guide for this board. I lost my bookmarks, so where is that again? (I'll do a search, but in case I don't find it...)

I bought the following today:

GA-P35-DS3L

8600 GT with 256mb DDR3

LITE-ON S-ATA DVD-drive

dual-rail 500 watt PSU

lian-li pc-v1000 case

set of four perforated aluminum bezels for case (as the stock ones are ugly)

Oh. I found it. Nice, a guide specifically for my motherboard.

That setup works perfectly. Very nice. I have a nearly identical system, and have built 4 of the exact same system for other people- all are happy campers.

Definitely go with Retail (10.5.4) and boot-132.

You should have a look at this thread on anandtech.

Kaido, the guide author has installing on that exact hardware down to a science. His 2.0 guide provides everything you need for a perfect install, so be sure to read through the guide.

In any case, it's pretty hard to go wrong with that hardware.
