I had a spare copy of Kalyway 10.5.2 lying around my house, and got a new FreeAgent 250G HD for Christmas, so I decided to dust off the DVD and see if I could get OSX86 working again. So far, it's worked better than ever, and only with a few things not operational, which I plan on working on later tonight.

The hardware:

Dell XPS 1530 + FreeAgentGo HD 250G (super, super fast HD btw - they sell docks for it too)

The process:

Installed Kalyway 10.5.2 to my Free Agent HD (Partitioned into 2 pieces: 200g Mac, rest for files)

Updated using Combo Updater to 10.5.3 - installed vanilla kernel

Updated using Stand Alone Update Package to 10.5.4 (no problems!) - http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_4_Update

WiFi - using a Belkin N Wireless Adaptor and drivers gotten from "totallybonkers" 3 months ago. - still works great

HDMI - get this - works out of the box - 2 monitors (1280x800 and 1680x1050).

Sound - not working, need to find the correct SigmaTel patch.

Otherwise, everything works great. - whole process has taken me about 4 hours total so far, minimal work, and everything pretty much works right out of the box.

I'm not sure if I can go past 10.5.4 using apple's official patchers, so anyone that has any advice on it please let me know. I'll post whatever hardware I can, but my ultimate goal is the new iPhone SDK.
