I have iAtkos 10.5.5 upgraded to 10.5.6 in my sig config, triple booting with Vista & Mandriva.

When I select restart from Vista and then select Leopard in Darwin boot menu the system doesnt boot successfully into the desktop, it crashes at a certain point after switching into graphical mode, sometimes before the menu bar appears, others after the menu bar, at random it seems.

If I press the reset button on the case the result is the same, I need to press the main power button in the case to be able to reboot from Vista into OS X successfully.

This doesnt happen when booting straight into OS X or when rebooting from Mandriva into OS X.

I look at the system.log and I see the crash is never at the same point, but I see this mentioned when it crashes but not when booting succesfully:

Jan 6 15:18:17 localhost kernel[0]: USBF:	5.550	AppleUSBUHCI: controller reset failed
Jan 6 15:18:17 localhost kernel[0]: USBF:	5.577	AppleUSBUHCI: controller reset failed

Could that be the reason for the crash?

I have tried rebooting with no USB devices apart from mouse & keyboard and I get the same crash.

The USB works fine apart from that, no other problems.

What could Vista be doing that prevents that controller reset?

What can I do to fix that?

Any BIOS options?
