TSurge
I have been doing some reading trying to figure out what the best route is to go with my OSx86 project. Found some great info on this site and want to thank you all in advance! I found the post called "Build a Perfect Mac for less than $250" (thanks MrFlooD) and was about to pull the trigger on this since everything is working osx10.5 and it will not cost me an arm and a leg. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=113623 While looking into getting the parts for this I noticed that they have a dual core atom processor now (330.) I noticed that the MB number is the same other then the 2 at the end. However I wasn't sure if anything else has changed that might make this combo not compatable with the osx86 setup. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...p;Tpk=D945GCLF2 (dual core) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813121342 (single core) Has anyone tested this setup yet? Would the install be the same as the one listed above for the single core? My goal really is more to mess around with the IPhone SDK and making some apps with it. I can't program using that with a Windows pc... If I find out I really like making apps I will prob go ahead and buy a mac laptop down the road. I tried a dual boot install on my 2 pc's I have (server and gaming pc) and the best I could do was get the OSX to load but no sound or Lan. I could mess around more but would rather just work with a system that is known to work and go from there. Thanks for your time. Here is a link to the intel site for both boards. Is there anything you guys can see that might cause any issues? http://www.intel.com/Products/Desktop/Moth...LF-overview.htm (We know this one works.) http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/moth...F2-overview.htm (need to know if this would work.) TSurge
Thank you very much for the link. I SWEAR I searched!!! Some reason it said nothing found for me. I just tried to search again and got nothing... You searched for: D945GCLF2Unfortunately your search didn't return any results. Try broadening the search parameters by searching by different keywords or altering the format of your search. Remember to use the wildcard '*' to increase the number of matches. Apple* will match 'apple' and 'apples'. And searching for Atom 330 brings up 2 Nokia phones someone is selling... I have it set to search the whole forums. I dont know what I am doing wrong with that. But once again THANK YOU!
