Aro2220
i put in the iDeneb 1.3 cd into my Intel centrino duo toshiba laptop which already has vista loaded and has 26gigs free in an undefined partition and booted from the cd. I used -v before loading and everything seemed to work (except a few errors) until it got to a part that just looped over and over... The loop goes a little something like this: SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x03, ASC = 0x02, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x03, ASC = 0x11, ASCQ = 0x02 disk1s3: I/O error. 0 [LEVEL 3] [ReadUID 0] [Facility com.apple.system.fs] [ErrType IO] [ErrNo 5] [iOType Read] [PBlkNum 1960918] [LBlkNum0] [FSLogMsgID 1873619300] [FSLogMsgOrder First] 0 [LEVEL 3] [ReadUID 0] [Facility com.apple.system.fs] [DevNode /dev/disk1s3] [MountPt /] [Path /System/Library/Frameworks/Coreservices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/SearchKit.framework/Versions/A/SearchKit] [FSLogMsgID 1873619300] [ over and over... what does this mean? how do i work around it? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144715-ideneb-13-sam-multimedia-failing/ Share on other sites
Aro2220
fixed it. read that it was due to an error in dvd reading...i reburned the cd using 4x speed and i didn't get the error. of course, now i've got new errors. yay? these ones seem even more difficult...
