Hi dudes, i've got today my system, and i've tried to install the Mac OSX 10.4.5 but i couldn't because an error like the mentioned in this message: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?s=...indpost&p=82643

i've downloaded this ISO: MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL_AMD_SSE3_SSE2).iso

My system is:

- Intel Pentium D 920

- Intel 945GNT with Sigmatel 7.1

- HD 250 Gb SATA 3Gb/s

- MSI ATI RX300HM PCI-E 128Mb

- 1Gb Ram (512 + 512) 533 Mhz

- Lan Intel Lan Pro 10/100

I've got a torrent of 10.4.4, download it, burn it and used after the 10.4.5 errors and after installing the OS, when it says it needs to reboot does it, but can't load the system or boot.

Any help?

thanks

boot.ini is located on your windows partition eg. c:\boot.ini

You will need to find chain0 in your OSX installation and put it to c:\

then, you can insert this line to boot.ini(edit it if your disk/location differs)

c:\chain0="Apple Mac OS X 10.4.5"

This will only work if you have separate disk(not partition on the same disk where windows is located)

If you have one disk and NTFS(windows) and HFS+(MacOSX) on it, I prefer Acronis Boot Selector.

Ofcourse, this makes sense only in case you have MacOSX successfuly installed on your disk.

Try to

1. update your bios to latest

2. disable all integrated devices(sound, network, etc..)

3. disconnect all pci/pcie devices which can cause kernel to crash.

By accident I discovered another way to do it. I had installed OSX86 10.4.5 on my AMD64 machine. Then when I got the Intel 945GNT with Pentium D920 I moved the hard drive over to the Intel machine. On the IDE controller was a blank hard drive on Master and an empty DVD drive on Slave. The OSX drive was hooked up as SATA in IDE mode. Since the OSX SATA drive was the only bootable device listed in the bios it went there and booted. Seems to be running nicely.

(I'm using the onboard Intel GMA950 video, not an ATI card. Don't know how that impacts things).
