lorb84 Posted January 4, 2009 Share Posted January 4, 2009 I'm looking for a raid controller for my hackintosh.. i saw that 3ware SIDECAR using 9650SE-4LPME support mac os. I'd like to know if the 9650SE-4LPML works with 9650SE-4LPME mac os drivers too..is it? I think both are the same contoller..the difference should be the internal and external connectors..but i dunno.. thank you! lorb84 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Share Posted January 4, 2009 For anyone who is interested 3ware support told me: "They are the exact same controller except the -4LPML is an internal connector and the -4LPME is an external connector (and available only with our Sidecar kit). You should be able to use the Mac Sidecar driver with any of our 9650SE series controllers. I'm using the driver "LSI3ware9000.kext" version 2.2.5 from iso file "9-5-4-Complete_codeset_Mac". I'm using Clover v2.4k r4972 in installed in folder "\EFI\CLOVER\kexts\Other\" Wonderful !!!
