gyoung
Hello, 1st post so be gentle. I bought the Retail version 10.5.4 and was going to try and install it on my system. My motherboard is the ASUS P5Ne-Sli and after reading all the issues with this MB, I decided it would be better to get a new MB. Suggestions please for the best MB for a retail install. Thanks, Greg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144426-best-motherboard-for-retail-1054-install/ Share on other sites

Thanks, Greg Look at what everyone else is using, I never used to be a fan of gigabyte but for osx I would definatly say go for a gigabyte board, I'm using ga-p35-ds3l everything works including sleep. Look at the list of hard ware that efi-x supports Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3 Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 (rev. 2.0) (rev. 2.1) (rev. 2.0) (rev. 2.1) (rev. 2.1) (rev. 2.1) Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3 Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS4 Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS4P Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS5 Gigabyte GA-EP45-DQ6 Gigabyte GA-EP45-EXTREME (rev. 1.0) (rev. 1.0) (rev. 1.0) I think you can take it these are the most compatible boards you will get. Hence the reason they are supported Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144426-best-motherboard-for-retail-1054-install/#findComment-1025126 Share on other sites
