bobertfishbone
OK I have an Inspiron 9300, and I've had OSX installed before (10.4.3) and all went perfectly. I had to delete that partition a while back, and a couple days ago I decided to install the newest version. So I download and burn the 10.4.5 ISO and install it (It came with Maxxuss patches). All goes smoothly. Very smoothly. Acronis won't recognize the partition as containing an operating system. The OSX DVD won't recognize the partition as containing an operating system. I don't know what to do. Any help? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14440-osx86-install-goes-smoothlydisappears/ Share on other sites
Callysto
when you use the DVD does the installer or disk utility see you hard disc at all? if so run disk utility from the tools menu and it should display any partitions available. The other thing is how the partition is set up it has to be of type AF and be a primary partition. bobertfishbone
Yeah when I install it sees the partition fine. Acronis tells me the partition is Primary and of type 0xAF (ShagOS swap) which I believe is normal. And still nothing.
