_matt
Ok so I tried a few times earlier today to get this to work and was not too sucsessful. I thought I may ask for some help. Using - Kalyway MacOSx 10.5.1 1. Dell Latitude D620, Dual Core 1.66GHz,Dual Core enabled, Cache 2048KB & 3GB RAM, 160GB single harddrive. 2. I will want to have both WinXPSP3 and MAC OSx only. I will have my drive partitioned in 3, 50GB-XP,30GB-MacOSx,remain in FAT32 Extra drive to go between each system. Questions that I would like clarity on: a. Which O/S do I install first? b. Do I make the partitions from the the O/S I am installing or from acronis? c. Is there a tutorial on this type of setup, as all I see is vista and linux. I see so many different approachs that I was getting confused. Thank you so much in advance I look forward to getting this up and running soon. matt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144349-kalyway-mac-os-x-105-newbie-install/ Share on other sites
realityiswhere
A. XP first, then OS X. B. Make the partitions first however you please, leave OS X's as fat32 until it comes time to install it then erase it, and change it to Mac OS Extended Journaled using the disk utility in the utilities menu of the OS X installer dvd. C. multi-booting is covered in this forum: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showforum=104 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144349-kalyway-mac-os-x-105-newbie-install/#findComment-1024561 Share on other sites
