rdonnelly
Hi everyone, I've been thinking about installing OSx86 for a while now, and decided to take the plunge tonight. I read a few tutorials pretty carefully and booted up the install disk. I had already created a 25GB partition (FAT32) and opened up the disk utility. When I try to erase the partition that I made for OSx, it fails. I get this message: "Volume Erase failed with the error: MediaKit reports illogical request." It also won't let me mount or do either of the First-Aide operations. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I would be very grateful for any suggestions. Do not format the partition as FAT is not recognized by OSX. Create a primary active partition with id=af and just leave it blank, do not format. Now boot OSX and use disk utility to format it. marceljj
Hello, I'm using iDeneb with Mac OS X 10.5, and I'm dual-booting Win7 with WinVista. I want to tri-boot with OS X. Will that work? Or will I delete my BCD And/Or Systems? Please reply ASAP Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144342-trouble-erasing-partition-with-ideneb-1055/#findComment-1543922 Share on other sites
