royto Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 I have try to install Mac OS 10.5.5 iDeneb about two weeks already, but I always have a error in Still waiting for root device. I have try: 1. Using a IDE DVD-Rom (Primary Master) and a IDE 80G hard disk (Primary Slave), jumper both is Cable Select. * Error: Still waiting for root device 2. Using a IDE 80G hard disk (Primary Master) and a IDE DVD-Rom (Primary Slave), jumper both is Cable Select. * Error: Bios can't detect the hard disk and DVD-Rom. 3. Using a IDE->SATA 80G hard disk and IDE DVD-Rom (Primary Master), jumper also is Cable Select. * Error: Still waiting for root device 4. Using a IDE 80G hard disk (Primary Master) and a IDE DVD-Rom (Primary Slave), jumper: hard disk = Master, DVD-Rom = Slave. * Error: Still waiting for root device 5. Using a IDE DVD-Rom (Primary Master) and a IDE 80G hard disk (Primary Slave), jumper: DVD-Rom = Master, hard disk = Slave. * Error: Still waiting for root device 6. Using IDE->SATA 80G hard disk and IDE DVD-Rom (Primary Master), jumper: DVD-Rom = Master. (Bios setting: AHCI) * Error: Still waiting for root device 7. Using IDE->SATA IDE DVD-Rom and IDE 80G hard disk (Primary Master), jumper: hard disk = Master. (Bios setting: AHCI) * Error: No more problem in loading into the install page, but I can't find any hard disk in here: But I don't know why, I can't go back to this install page again using this setting. 8. Using SATA DVD-Rom and IDE 80G hard disk (Primary Master), jumper: hard disk = Master. (Bios setting: AHCI) * Error: Still waiting for root device 9. Using SATA DVD-Rom and SATA 250G hard disk. (The hard disk have file already) * Error: and here is my computer: Report.htm I hate this icon now.
