hoangbv15 Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 I have set everything up for my iATKOS 10.5.6, everything is working like a charm, except for the CPU heat, 50 ~ 60 Celcius degree (it's 25 ~ 38 in Windows Vista, in the same weather)... Can you guys recommend some method to make it cooler? like some removable .kext's? If so then when I had an E6300 it was off by the 15C that its TJMax is lower than the revision G chips that it is calibrated for so that accounts for most of it. For the rest check to make sure that the AppleIntelCPUManagement.kext is not loaded this causes an extra 10C or so higher so it seems like it could be the culprit. hoangbv15 Posted January 3, 2009 Author Share Posted January 3, 2009 Yeah, i'm using Temperature Monitor, and i'm sure that i have deleted AppleIntelCPUManagement.kext. So TMonitor is the problem... What about the x86 plugin that TMonitor has installed... I heard some guys at this forum said that they deleted AppleSMC.kext or AppleCPUthermo.kext to solve the CPU heat thing, and i'm still a noob who doesn't understand what is the true meaning of those two kexts... hoangbv15 Posted January 3, 2009 Author Share Posted January 3, 2009 It seems like my CPU heat problem is not like what i thought, 50 ~ 60 C is the two Cores' temperature, and in general, it's even lower than that in Windows Vista... that means the two cores' temperature and the CPU temperature are 2 different things.
