naplo
Hi, I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 which is running quite nicely on my computer so far. I only miss the 5.1 sound which I will hopefully fix later on. But I have some minor problems with my keyboard + mouse and I hope you can help me. First the stuff I use: Keyboard: Cherry eVolution Stream Corded MultiMedia Keyboard DE Mouse: Logitech MX500 First I have problems with the keyboard layout. I just can't find the damn "@" (this one was copied from somewhere else). In addition I was wondering if it's possible to switch the "ctr" with the "windows" key so I can continue to use "ctr+t" for a new tab in Firefox etc. Is there maybe any chance to set the keyboard layout to an "windows keyboard"? I mean you could for example have an Mac Pro but you really like this nice Cherry keyboard so you want to use that on your original Mac Pro. Of cause Apple would like to see me buying an original Apple Keyboard for my Mac, but maybe they (or some community member) added an special layout for these keyboards. I really hope so! Second I also have some problems with my Logitech MX500. There are two buttons on the left side which can be used for "forwards" and "backwards" in the browser and so on. These two buttons are really important for me and I really miss them here on OSX. Is there any way to get them working? Especially the mices from Apple are hard to get used to and I really like the Logitech ones which are much more comfortable when you have larger hands like me. I would also be interessted if theres a way to disable the mouse acceleration. I think I am getting used to it, but I don't really see a point why it has to be on... I hope you have some solutions for me! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144190-some-minor-problems-with-keyboard-mouse/ Share on other sites
