This is a double-post, but I'll let the admins figure it out. Sorry. :happymac:

 

 

This will give you working Realtek ALC861 HD audio for i945 chipsets. Others have solved it for 880 and 882. I just found the proper device ID for 861 and made the adjustments. Sound out only, but at least its something...

I've tried that, but still doesn't work.

I've edited azalia kext with vendor and device ID - ALC861 -, but no dice.

Now I have the sound control, but I can't use it because its all greyed out...

HELP!
