Hi sprice82, Thanks for your great instructions! Unfortunately, I ran into a small problem while installing the msiwindosx86.iso on my brand new MSI Wind PC (2316XP Intel Atom 230): The installation stops with the following error message: Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. I would be thankful for any ideas, geb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144147-hor-to-msi-wind-desktop-leopard-install-hackintosh-for-around-240/#findComment-1412654 Share on other sites
grimjon
I used the uselessninjas guide to build a MSI Wind hackintosh for my father-in-law and it ran fine for a little over a year, but about a month ago he began complaining that it was running very slowly. At some point, someone did a hard reset on the machine, and now the disk is corrupt. The machine won't boot and my attempts to run fsck or fsck_hfs fail with errors like "invalid sibling link." Not being a Mac guy, I don't really know how to proceed to fix this. He'd really like to save the data on the drive if possible, but he was not doing any backups that I'm aware of. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
