Has anyone else experienced this? I have the older version (I think it's 10.5.1 or something along that line), a Kalway install. Video works just fine.

I've tried and tried to use the Boot123 (I bought the family pack of 10.4.1 retail) and have NEVER been able to get the video to work. I've tried hard coding it; I've used the install program and I've tried to do the Boot123 method and video just never leaves 1280x1024.

I am able to install and boot using the 123 method without a single problem. But I can never get the video to work. What has changed? Is there no way to make it work or am I using the wrong video driver for my motherboard (it's in my sig.)

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I'm stuck at this point. (GA-945GM-S2 motherboard). The specs say it's a GMA950 builton video. Is there something I'm missing?

thanks

Charlie

since you are on a gigabyte ry one of the dsdt.aml linked in the topic in signaure.

thats the real fix for gma950

the old fix (with the mouse glitches) used in the kalyway for example, is to replace the frambuffer kext with the old one from10.4.8 tiger.

but this isn't necassay anymore, it can be fixed once an for all to work with the stock drivers if you get your dsdt right.

it worked for me and others, check out the link, thethread starter is also using a gigabyte board but in princpal this fix can be made for every board.
