koki
I am really sorry for the very minimal information I am going to give you but any help will be greatly appreciated. I was recently asked to make a printer work on a regular pc running some hacked version of mac os x (tech support stuff). The printer had a driver that was available in regular apple software update, one thing lead to another and when I saw that there were some available new updates I said "why not?" and clicked yes. And that was the end of its world. The update process stopped at ~13% (or 9, dunno, i remember these two numbers) with a grey screen of death and rebooting made baby jesus cry. I only got another gsod, with -s -v etc only giving me hints about an acpiplatform whatever problem and a kernel panic. I used to use mac os x so I generally know my way around but I have absolutely no idea about maintaining it on unsupported h/w. I googled and searched this forum a lot but could only get vague suggestions about "repair" or unanswered questions. So I don't know which hacked version they had, I won't know about the exact h/w until tomorrow when I have to fix it and I only remember it being 10.5.2. ANY help/hint will be better than what I already have.
