enormousrodent Posted December 31, 2008 Share Posted December 31, 2008 Hi..I have recently installed Kalyway 10.5.2 then updated to x3 x4 and x5 using the various methods with no problem. But now i have plugged in my second hard disk it is not showing up. When i unplug my OSX drive and run my windows os it is showing fine no problems. The very first time i plugged the disk in it showed up fine but now it doesn't Would someone please give me an idea? I have tried installing a new IOATAFamily.kext with no success (apart from nearly screwing my install lol) Thanks in advance.. Vanhishikha Posted December 31, 2008 Share Posted December 31, 2008 This is weird, as it should detect the HDD. Is it formatted correctly? Oh wait, you can't see it, so you can't format it can you. Hm strange, try going into the Kalyway install and try seeing if the HDD shows up there. Partition it > format it. and see if that works out. ;]. enormousrodent Posted December 31, 2008 Author Share Posted December 31, 2008 i cannot format it...it works perfectly in my windows partition....and it did very breifly appear in my osx partition then i restarted and now does not appear..I have too many important files on it to format it and during my install i had to borrow a sata dvd drive so cannot use it lol....any other ideas / kext / terminal etc??
