mbebop
Hi all, I'm on an Inspiron 1525, just upgraded to 10.5.6 following the guide here: http://www.espressoreport.com/191/hackbook...-mac-os-x-1056/ Everything's working well except for one major thing; anytime I connect an external storage device (external HD, Flash drive, etc) I get a kernel panic and have to restart the computer. I applied the Time Machine fix just after installing 10.5.6; it worked and I was even able to back up once, if at very slow speed (had only installed AppleAHCIPlatform and WiFi/Audio drivers, hadn’t yet installed drivers to fix USB). I have no idea why its causing kernel panics now, but I’m installing a new HD soon and I want a more current backup of my configuration, so I can just restore and not have to fix anything again. Any help on this would be wonderful. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143936-mass-storage-device-causes-kernel-panic/ Share on other sites
