ZeDz
Thanks to many helpful members like Tekno, Erebus, and koverg, I know have a stable system with audio, graphics support, and internet, however, I still have not been able to get my internal dvd burner to be recognized by the system. In fact, I even had to install the system via USB DVD-ROM cause i got the "waiting for root device" error. I've tried playing around with my BIOS settings (ie - Compatible Mode for IDE Devices), but I still have not had any success. Once I resolve this final issue, my system will be pretty much complete! Any ideas?? Check my hardware specs below.. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14386-internal-ide-dvd-burner-not-recognized/ Share on other sites
ZeDz
I'm really stuck here!!!! Has anyone ever had a similar problem, or does someone have the same mobo as me???? My IDE dvd burner is set to master and it is listed as drive 0 on the secondary ide channel.... I really do not know how to fix this, any help would be greatly appreciated!!! And.... this drive is listed as supported on the 10.4.5 HCL, so I'm guessing its something with my motherboard? Mbe my configuration? I'm lost...
