I first tried Kalyway 10.5.2 which worked relatively easy on my AMD 6400 X2 machine. But here it gets past the BIOS and then blinks "appleroot.plist" or something along those lines and won't go into the installation.

iAtkos 10.5.5 worked under 9.2 kernal, with Appledecrypt, and EFI V9. It installed rather slow and also worked with the voodoo 9.5 kernal. However once everything is loaded it restarts. Then when in the boot menu if you choose to just hit enter (not -v diagnostic boot) it enters a screen with an apple and asks to reboot again. If you hit -v it just stops and never loads. The bottom states "OSX version - not stated".

settings were - PC EFI V9, App Decrypt, SMBIOS -EFI (no resolve or enable turned on), Voodoo 9.5 or Voodoo 9.2 (either one got through without freezing), OHR, NVinject, 8800gt string, SATA AHCI, Realtek R1000

I was doing this onto a 1.5tb SATA drive that is split into three equal blank partitions.

iDeneb 10.5.5 v1.3 wont even get past the first loading screen (with the gray screen and the apple). It twirls and loads for a couple minutes then stops and freezes.

I did all of this with AHCI enabled and attempted to install through SATA HD (for iAtkos which was the only one that got that far).

Here are the specs:

Gigabyte X48-DQ6

Q9550

4gb of OCZ 1066 ram

SATA DVD and IDE DVD

SATA 1.5tb drive seagate

8800 gt EVGA KO

Any help is appreciated. Even just stating what route worked for you would be helpful. I think i'll try the retail installation route next but I'm still unfamiliar with how that works. Thanks
