newbie: Several Kexts dont load after iAtkos5i install (XPS 1210)

hi there,

I am trying to see how this works - I have iAtkos 5i which is being installed to a USB drive. Since I have so many attempts to install, the way I test a particular install is by booting the "install DVD" and typing "rd=disk2s1 cpus=1 -v" to start the boot.

 

Now, the problem is that wireless wont work - I have a Dell 1490, however "lspci -vvnn" shows the card. On going through the bootlog, I see a lot of kexts (IOPCI, etc.) not being loaded because of a load error:

 

kextload: loaded version 2.4 of module com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily differs from requested version 2.4.1

 

Now, I presume this is why my wireless wont work - I am at a loss to understand how to proceed further. Could someone help on how to debug this?
