Lanceomni
That's my problem: How can I change info like SOMESRLNMBR, Some Model , and other? MacOS X 10.5.6 (not hackintosh) System Profiler: You can change this by modifying AboutThisMac.strings located in: /system/library/coreservices/loginwindow.app/contents/resources/YOURLANGUAGE.lproj You can leave the %@ as it returns a value. Always backup files before you edit. About This Mac: You can change the graphic on this screen by replacing MacOSX.tiff located in /system/library/coreservices/loginwindow.app/contents/resources Right click and select "show package contents" to get into loginwindow.app Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143707-wrong-system-info/#findComment-1025532 Share on other sites
nebulOSX
What has been said above only changes "About this Mac" info, nothing in system profiler to my knowledge. You will need to change your SMBIOS as this is the kext the information is read from. If you used the boot132 method then you will need to change the smbios kext on the bootloader partition, if its not boot132 then you will have to change the kext in "/System/Library/Extensions" backup the old one, and install with kext helper. Search around for one of Mac.Nub's smbios' Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143707-wrong-system-info/#findComment-1025627 Share on other sites
