muxion
I have good HW too, but I haven't yet installed from DVD successfully either 10.4.4. or 10.4.5. There's a bit to it. Only about 10-20% of folks get the "dream" install. I've been reading the forum and downloading for 3 weeks now. These folks are very willing to help, they are great!! This goes all the way to the top... I have seen posts answered by Maxxuss, Myzar, JaS, Mashugly, and many others who have a lot else to do in life, who have already given more than can be repayed them. So here is the answer...read the sticky threads at the top of the PC Forum >> OSX Installation, read Bofors thread under The Genius Bar, read sub-topics about installation, and search the forum for your answers. Once you have started your project, you can ask, and will very likely get answers to specific questions about problems you are having. I have also gotten a lot from Google searches relating to things like "osx86" "tiger" "maxxuss" "10.4.5" and so on. For this forum to survive, there can be NO links to such materials. A fast connection is really the key to getting most of these files. Here are some hints: BT, , <- BSD mascot, not a devil. Hope this helps some and best wishes!
