Which one?

I'm new to the OSx86 project, though I love the fact that people are now porting Mac OS X to PC. I have a copy of OS X 10.5 for my iBook but I want to run Mac OS on my new Dell Desktop I purchased. My issue is that there are enough different versions of the OS X port to PC that I'm not sure which one to go for. So, I was wondering what you all would suggest.

 

Here are the stats of the computer I built:

Processor: Intel Quad Core 2.4GHz Processor

RAM: 6Gb Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz (4 DIMM)

Video Card: NVidia GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB DDR2 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Optical Drive: 16x DVD+/-RW drive

Sound: Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio (possibly upgrading to a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy)

Hard Disks: 1. Seagate 1TB SATA 3.0Gb/s 2. 500GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache

 

I plan to triple boot with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit (on the 1TB drive), Mandriva Linux, and Mac OS X (both on the 500Gb drive, 250Gb dedicated to each). Given these stats, which version of the OSx86 port would you all suggest?

You left out the most important component, the motherboard & it's chipset

 

Use this utility or Google your Dell model number for motherboard info then post back
