Computermod14
I have the Lenovo Y510 which I just recently, today actually, completed a dual boot with Leopard as the primary and Vista as the secondary. I've come along so far except for one last major issue bothering me. When headphones are plugged in to the headphone jack, no sound is converting over to the headphones and the speakers keep playing. I have searched on the internet quite a bit about this already and could not find anything on it, not even anything to try. The only thing that I know is that the sound is Realtek, not sure of which particular model. If anyone knows how to resolve this, please let me know as I honestly appreciate it. ioreknanou
Hi Computermod14, I have the same laptop and it is Realtek alc888. I have tested 5 different drivers for this but it is still not working out of the box. It's the same problem with my other computer (p5w dh deluxe, alc882) Just to be sure, if you select it manually can you hear from the earphones ? And by the way, are you able to mirror your display if you plug an external monitor and are you able to change the screen brigthness ? Computermod14
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "selecting it manually". As far as the dual display, I have not tried that at all and for the screen brightness, it does work.
