phred_phred Posted December 30, 2008 Share Posted December 30, 2008 I installed a variety of different versions of OSX86 (10.4 and 10.5), but i have yet to get one to successfully boot. The farthest that i have gotten is to the gray screen with the dark gray apple logo, and then it pops up with the crash screen. I have SLI enabled (2 8600GT 256MB) and i think that might be the problem, but I'm not entirely sure. It might be the drivers i am installing. Someone please tell me what drivers to install. Here are my specs: CPU: AMD athlon 64 X2 dual core 5400+, 2812 Mhz (X86 based) RAM: 4GB DDR2 (2 533Mhz, 2 800Mhz) HDD: 1 SATA 500GB, 1 PATA 400GB, and another PATA 200GB (I want to try and install it on the 200GB pata) GPU: 2 Nvidia ge-force EVGA 8600GT 256MB (IN SLI) OS: WIN Vista 32-bit Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143603-sli-help/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

realityiswhere Posted December 31, 2008 Share Posted December 31, 2008 SLI does not work, and will not likely work anytime soon. Do not intall any injectors, and disconnect the SLI bridge. realityiswhere Posted December 31, 2008 Share Posted December 31, 2008 Again, like it says in my signature, PMs will be ignored. an injector is something like nvkush, nvinject, something which injects the video information into the iodevice tree, otherwise meaning don't install any video drivers until you're sure the system will boot without them first.
