domness
Installation of OSx86 iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 Leopard I thought I'd make this topic seen as I can find almost no other with help for this. This topic is to offer help, answer questions and ultimately to ask questions and give help where needed under the installation of 10.5.5 on a Sony Vaio VGN-NR38E. Current Installation: iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 Currently researching: Atheros AR5007 - Got the card to show up as an AirPort device, but can't find any networks or create it's own. ^ I am currently trying to find a fix, but it doesn't seem that there is much luck. ^ Try this FIX. Resolutions: Working at 1280 x 800 Working at all other resolutions below 1280 x 800 Working: Wireless (Using a USB Dongle) Intel GMAX3100 Sound (inbuilt speakers) Sleep Mode Quartz GL Support Quartz QE Support USB Headset (Mic and Headphones) Not working: Headphone Jack sound. Not Checked: Ethernet (Doubt it's working) Getting Quartz Extreme, Quartz GL and full resolution! Just remember, the graphics will be pretty bad with incorrect drivers installed. After a normal installation, boot with -s -x and type this in: cd /System/Library/Extensions/ rm -R AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext rm -R AppleIntelGMAX* exit Now Leopard should boot up with visible graphics. They have a bad resolution, but follow the next steps to get a fully working graphics card: Download the following file: DOWNLOAD KEXTS, PLUGINS & BUNDLES (with read me) Above URL: http://www.mediafire.com/?witknfonmuq There is a read me in the file. Make sure all the files are installed (KextHelper is a good app for this), Natit is also needed. Make sure AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext is deleted. Repair permissions just in case and reboot. Now everything should be working, I've added a screenshot below to what System Profiler should be showing. Wifi / WLAN The wifi I use with a WifiMax USB Dongle using the Zydas drivers. I am still trying to get the Atheros AR5007EG drivers up and running.
