msingh
Regardless of whether I set hibernatemode (pmset, etc.) to 3 or 5, I cannot hibernate. I get a gray screen where the mouse pointer is visible, but unresponsive (as is the keyboard). Possibly related - I tried to do an upgrade to 10.5.6 and my kernel (9.4.0 - StageXNU) panicked upon reboot. Had to redo the install. I have read that there is some EFI/RTC related issue that might affect both - any ideas ? Much better display (occassional artifacts, but I can live with those) : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=141549 Upon attempting to hibernate, I do get the system to power off. However, cannot resume, and more interestingly, the modification time on /var/vm/sleepimage is an older time unrelated to the attempt to hibernate.
