boypeter999
Hi - has anyone any experience with using a genuine Apple Airport card using a mini-PCI adapter to PCI slot? I have a Linksys WMP54G (rev 4.1) that I can't get to work at all. DPCI manager sees it and identifies it, but System Profiler can't find it at all. Any help with either question greatly appreciated! boypeter999
Thanks Macgirl, but my question was actually about using the genuine Apple card. I know where to get the adapter card on eBay and it also has an aerial. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/WiFi-54-108b-g-Wire...%3A1|240%3A1318 Aqua mac used the Dell card - which costs more on eBay than a genuine Apple. So I guess I'll get the genuine item Thanks for the info. macgirl
Is the same thing, only vendor ID changes, Device ID is the same. Also, You can put a Dell or other Broadcom/atheros mini PCI-E card in to a real Mac and it will work.
