AT9
Hi everyone! Im new to the forum (1st post) but obviously I plan to stay if I can get my system up and running O.K. Pre-problem warning: This is a "n00b" esque question if you will. Please go easy on me. I'm just trying to be apart of a great community. Problem: I am extremely confused (Que the RTFM comments in 3...2...) Basically I am running an Advent T9. The results of cpuz here:CPU Cache Mainboard Memory I have read countless tutorials and I am still out of luck. I also have some confusion about my P4. I have read something about pre-core processors being harder to use with OS X? As you can see I really don't know where to start. If anyone could be so kind as to help me out here. Be aware I am quite new to all of this so bear with me. This really isn't my area of "expertise", and I know how annoying it can be having people asking questions like "how do i do this n that n {censored} like dat" when your so educated in that area of work, but I am keen to get OS X up and running now that I "might" finally have hardware that can run it. Thankyou for your time -AT9 EDIT: I understand there are discs like kalyway and iAtkos etc. but I wouldn't know which one to use Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143305-pentium-4-ht/ Share on other sites
Reveeen
You are a little "light" in the hardware, now, I'm not saying it will not work, but it won't be as satisfying. (they cheated you on the processor, and you don't really have enough ram) Start here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=141001 You have almost the same kind of system, you need to just specify your video, audio, and NIC, come install time. If you are using on-board video there is not really a suitable driver (go with default), your audio is handled with the Apple AC97 driver, and your NIC I have no idea (look at your current driver).
