blkhockeypro19
ok thank you, what is the lowest number I can set it as, and how do I get permision to edit that file? Sorry im kinda new to macs. first of all move it to ur desktop so u can edit it. then drag it back when your done. second, you can probably change it to 1. I guess you could try 0 but I don't think you would know hwo to restore a backup if you had to so I think that's a bad idea. 1 second should be good though, try that to be safe. if anyone else wants to jump in here that knows a little more that would be great. nintenno
But why would you want to do that If your system can't boot and you do this You can't enter single user or verbose or safe boot modes So just set it to like 3 so you have a chance to adjust your boot perameters Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143279-darwin-boot-reduce-timer/#findComment-1016741 Share on other sites
UnaClocker
Using OSX86Tools, you can enable "Silent Mode", which is essentially that, no delay at all. Pounding F8 while it's transitioning from BIOS-EFI emulator-OSX86 will bring up the familiar prompt where you can type -v or -f or whatever you need.. So it won't leave you stranded having no delay..
