Roby94
Hey guys, I decided to share my problems with you because you are my last hope. This whole week I worked day and night, just to experience to power of Mac. So I went through all the versions of iAtkos, Jas 10.5.4 and 10.4.8, and Kalyway 10.5.2, leo4all v2&v3. None of these booted on my computer. So with that said, the main problem is that after the darwin bootloader screen both of the options of just pressing enter or -v failed me. They just load for a litlle bit, then they just stop. My best option so far was th leo4all v3, or jas 10.5.4(forgot which one because i din't label the DVD's). One of these two actually doesn't freeze and keeps trying. It detects my iPhone, and my iPod, gets some kind of firewire security error, and then says "failed to access root drive", or something like that. I have an HP Pavilion Media Center TV PC m8430f, the specs that i know of are intel quad core 2 chipset, 8500gt 512mb vid. card, 4096 mb ram, and not sure about the motherboard. I tried using CPU-Z to see the SSE2-SSE3 thing, but i didnt know where to look lol. So pretty much on my computer none of the patched OS's work and EVERYTHING FAILED. PLZ HELP ME, THIS WEBSITE IS MY ONLY HOPE, THANK YOU, AND HAPPY HOLYDAYS. P.S. If you need anymore info about my instalation just ask me, and i will be happy to tell you. Try Everest or Google to find the motherboard (you may need a patched BIOS) then here for hardware compatibility

verdant
check the attachment AFIK your MOBO specs are these......so you have an Award BIOS.......for BIOS issues see this DSDT Patcher which is capable of patching DSDT in BIOS or generate a DSDT.aml file for insertion into Chameleon Bootloader with DSDT override......see here...... verdant
k thanks, so i don't get what im supposed to do w/ the program, and how to patch. A little more detailed for newbies plz. I am not the developer........but from koalala's thread You need Windows and .NET Framework but you can run the program from any PC, not necessarily the one you want to patch. The other DSDT Patcher patch DSDT and only generate DSDT.aml.This one patch BIOS and can generate DSDT.aml if you don't want to flash. Moreover, you can use it on any PC, since you don't need anything from the PC you want to patch. However, it has less compatibility since most notebooks have Phoenix BIOSes or InsydeH2O. In 0.2 you will be able to generate only fixed DSDT.aml from extracted DSDT.aml but not from BIOS file. But if you patch you're BIOS, you don't need to care about DSDT.aml later. It will be capable to provide HDEF audio too and more compilation fixes with autofix in version 0.2 Any further questions on his DSDT Patcher are best directed to koalala.......
