anthropromorph
I have an ASUS G1s notebook that I have successfully installed Kalyway 10.5.1 onto (can't get newer ones to boot). I have everything I need working including my atheros based wifi. My install shows up under "About this Mac" as being a Mac Pro. Anyone know of how to get it to install as a macbook? I would love to get battery monitoring. The attached file is my about this mac screenshot. Beerkex'd
One way to get it working is with Chun Nan's AppleSMBIOSEFI.kext. You need to install xcode and modify a few lines of text in the source if you want to change the platform type. You need an unmodified AppleSMBIOS.kext You must edit the boot.plist file and set your memory type and amount. You can also set the FSB if it's not picked up correctly. anthropromorph
Thanks for the help. Reading the post you linked to, I never would have known that it had anything to do with my question without being told that it did.
