s0ul
Hi, Just wanted to say that my son's Dell Inspirion 530 took this install perfectly without a hitch including the 10.5.3 combo update. Only thing I had to do out of the way was to create the file .AppleSetupDone because it kept wanting to configure my keyboard over and over again. Other than that, it works freaking great. The speed of this machine is now indescribable over the Vista that was on it before. I could not believe how fast this little intel core 2 duo with 512 megs of ram actually moved when I loaded OSX on it. I tried installing it on my machine which is an Athlon XP processor and I kept getting the message that it was unsupported hardware and it wouldn't go any further than that. But I am happy with the install on my son's PC. He's not always with me so I get to play on it as well when he is not around. Thanks for this DVD! I am looking into getting an actual mac PC for myself after the first of the year. Now I am fully convinced that I want one of these fast little machines! Update: - Just wanted to let you guys/gals know that I found a cool little USB WiFi dongle that works right out of the box with Kalyway's 10.5.2 DVD. It's made by a company called Ativa. Here is the link to a site that has it for retail. It's really inexpensive. http://www.officedepot.com/textSearch.do?u...&Ntt=926273 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143088-kalyways-1052-dvd-on-dell-inspirion-530/ Share on other sites
