nonfinite
I'm now in the market for two PCs running OS X. I'm willing to spend any amount of time setting up these notebooks, but once everything's up and running I want it to be as close to an actual mac as possible. No worries about updates, sound issues, etc. One of these will be used for graphics work. Nothing too crazy, though. Photoshop, Illustrator. The other will be for very light use. Web browsing, email, etc. I'm OK with popping in a dell wireless card if it will save me some money down the road. I can upgrade ram and hard drives without issue. What's essential here is that after I'm done installing the OS and drivers, regardless of the method chosen, it has to be worry-free, as these will be passed on to family members who have, in the past, invested in macs for that very reason. They're worry free. I've heard the xps 1530 is practically perfect out of box, but it's more powerful than what I need, and a bit too large. I'm looking for approx. 13" solutions. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142960-13-macbook-equivalent/ Share on other sites
