silicontrip Posted August 28, 2005 Share Posted August 28, 2005 After a weekend of patching and testing, I've discovered that the IOHDIXController.kext causes a Kernel panic, with the "ACPI" platform not found error. By removing the IOHDIXController kext the machine does not kernel panic but waits forever saying "Still waiting on root device" I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a known working HDIXController.
