el_don Posted December 24, 2008 Share Posted December 24, 2008 Hi folks, I still have a massive problem getting my audio to work with 10.5.5. I have a mainboard integrated AD1986 Intel 82801GB ICH7 Soundchip. I already tried to put the Device/Vendor ID in the Info.plist of AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext but it didn't help. Then I read that ICH7 uses HDA, so I guess I was in the wrong kext. Is that correct? I tried OSX86tools and the hardware detection offers 4 drivers: AC97, ALC863, ALC888 and ALC861. Which one is correct? I am a little bit confused now. I know that my soundcard works, because it worked with Kaliway 10.5.2. Any suggestions? Thanks so far!
