eyemac
I was wondering what the advantage is to your installation onto MBR partition as the final installation? I thought GUID is more 'Mac' like? Also, MBR will only allow a single partition of 500gb whereas GUID allows much larger partitions (?). Thanks very much! OCM770
GUID allows for a better Mac install as you can install off the retail disc using munkys guide or a boot 132 disc. MBR is better if your dual booting Vista or XP on the same drive as OSX. You can still get OSX working on MBR (iATKOS, Kaly, Leo4all, etc.) Note: Windows 7 supports native install to GPT so i recommend using GPT if your dual booting 7 and OSX on the same drive Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142650-mbr-install-vs-guid/#findComment-1012055 Share on other sites
