"As of v1.4.0 of the kext, automatic throttling of CPU frequency and voltage is available. All you have to do is install the kext and let it do its job quietly in the background. You don't need any GUI app to control the auto-throttling."

right , but i want to see if it really has done it , so you recommend another app so i can monitor my cpu state to see if it really has throttled it down ?

Yes you can use the same SpeedStep.app (tuxx) to monitor the throttling. Just run it but set it to Manual mode. Then it should reflect the frequencies chosen by the kext.

If you just want to make sure the kext is running, and don't really want to monitor the cpu frequency in realtime, then you can just run this command in Terminal: sysctl -a | grep throttle which will show you some information about the throttling.
