Alexb01
Hi, I just finished installed iATKOS 10.5.5 and leopard is running fine. I'm having a bit of trouble with getting the ethernet to work. I'm using a VIA Rhine III VT6105 Ethernet card. I installed drivers with the instalation of Leopard and hardware seems to be registering fine. OSX knows there's ethernet conneced etc. The problem is OSX can't seem to tap into the network... First I tried using DHCP and it gets the IP address "169.254.61.119" which doesn't make sense when all the other IP addresses on my network at 192.168.0.*. Also when looking from the router control panel it doesnt even see it as an attached device. In anycase I also tried manually entering network details just copying them from another PC on my network and changing the IP address. It connects and says it has the right IP but still my router can't pick it up and no internet etc. I use to use Tiger a while back and it all worked fine using a driver I remember finding somewhere on the internet. Any Suggestions? Alternatively if I could get my internal wireless card to work then I would be happy using that instead (the wireless card is a Creatix 405 PCI 802.11g. Thanks in advance, Alex Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142529-via-rhine-iii/ Share on other sites
