renegadeandy
Hi guys! This is my rig: AMD athlon x2 4600 ATI x1950 2gb DDR2 250gb hdd half partitioned for macos extended journaling format Right, so I have had Kalyway's 10.5.2 running on this rig, however i need to be running 10.5.5 because of my desire to dabble in Iphone development sdk - which requires at least 10.5.3 So, seems Kalyways combo update 10.5.3 is intel only, out of the question. So i download IDenebs 1.3 installation amd/intel v1.3 10.5.5 - Perfect. I install with the following options: 9.4.0 StageXNU kernel no audio drivers no gfx drivers no network AMD patch USB patch CPUS=1 patch applenforceATA chipset 1st option When installation succeeds - on restart it loads for ages - with -v reports no errors, flicks onto the blue screen, waits a bit - then just dies sometimes flickers and turns to a torn blue screen - like a video driver error has occurred. Is there anything I am doing wrong - and is there any tips on booting into this please! Am i doing the installation wrong = perhaps im missing something with the customization settings of the installation? Please help! Desperate! Andy God - it seems its just about playing until you get a combination which works, tried the above again and it works! Only thing I need now is a proper video driver for my x1950 pci ati card and audio drivers for my soundblaster live! Any ideas where to get those?
