MacSac
Hi all I've been reading up a lot about installing Mac OS X on a PC, building Hackintoshes, browsing this forum etc. etc. and i know more or less how to go about it; but i am slightly nervous :-) 1. Here are my hardware specs: Motherboard: Asus P5LD2 SE (Intel LGA 775 CPU) Cpu: Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz E4400 Graphics Card: nVidia XFX GeForce 7600 GS 256MB DDR2 Hard Drives: 1x Samsung 250GB Sata 7200rpm 1x Western Digital 400GB Sata 7200 rpm 1x Seagate Barracuda 1TB Sata 7200 rpm Power Supply: 450 Watts Firewire 400 PCI Card TV Tuner Card (which i won't use under Mac OS) Just want to confirm that the above hardware will work (with required kexts and whatever else) - i've checked the official compatibility list but would greatly appreiate a knowledgeable Hackintosher confirming this for me; and also lettting me know specific drivers or kexts to install and how to go about that. 2. I was thinking of using Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2 to use to install - will this work for me and my hardware? 3. I want to get a new, small hard drive as a dedicated Mac OS X drive - any reccomendations or anthing I need to know? How much space would you reccommend for a Mac OS instllation? 4. I am Hackintoshing with the intent of installing and using Final Cut Studio 2 on my machine - want to confirm that this will work as well. I know that all this info is rather widely avialable; i have STFW a lot about this - i just want to confirm a couple of things and be answered a couple of things by other Hackintoshers :-) Thanks very much, chaps!
