marcrem
Hi, Here's my problem: 1) I made a partition of 10 GO with partition magic. 2) I ran Ubuntu, cfdisk, then changed the type to AF 3) I got a 10.4.5 install dvd and installed succefully. 4) I went to windows, put a chain0 file found on 360hack 5) I added "C:\chain0="MAC OS X" to the boot.ini file. Now, When I try to boot in osx, it says "Chain booting error" A-) I booted with the mac install dvd, then tried to reinstall, but it was saying mac os x was already installed. B-) I changed my OSX partition bootable, but it said another error , something like "Missing Operating System" C-) I kept this partition bootable, then inserted my mac os x install dvd, and ohmy.gif IT WORKED! The problem is that i have to go to linux everytime to change my bootable partition, and i have to let the OSX dvd in... It happened to someone else: i got hold of the 10.4.5 DVD and it installed a treat. I set up the chain0 boot method but no joy. the damn thing just won't boot. the only way i can bring it up is if i set the partition i installed OSX on active and then boot from the OSX DVD i installed it with. if i don't touch the Darwin bootloader countdown from the bootable DVD it boots in -v mode and OSX comes up fine. What can I do? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14230-osx-1045-booting-problem/ Share on other sites
