alpharomeo1977
I have successfully installed Leopard 10.5.5 using iATKOS 5i DVD and updated it successfully using the combo update downloaded from Apple website to 10.5.6. Everything works except the onboard Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN card which although detected as an ethernet device and as an Airport is impossible to configure. I have managed the wireless connection using an USB Wireless with RALINK Chipset (2571) with the new RALINK Drivers (although replug fix is not always working well). The only problem i have is with the sleep and i am looking at fixing this. I get a message at Darwin boot which says Starting Sleep Sleep Image has garbage... etc...etc.. And hibernation fails.. Otherwise its fantastic... look at some screenshots.. All of those with ASUS F8Sg laptops..contact me if you need any advice on installation and post installation issues Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142273-successfully-installed-leopard-on-asus-f8sg-intel-dual-core-laptop-with-modified-bios/ Share on other sites

huhund
After quite a lot of trial and error yesterday I was able to install leopard on a Asus F8Sg, I used iDeneb 1.3. I turned on the ICHx fix, ACPI, CPU-1, PowerManagement, PowerOff and NVidia 256mb driver. Dunno if that’s the best configuration but at least leopard booted up. I didn’t have too much time to test it out but the WiFi didn’t work. Has anyone tried out the iwiDarwin drivers for this notebook? /H.
