osxevo
So far I have tried the 10.5.5 iDeneb and the XxX 10.5.5 Images to no success. Will try iATKOS i5 to see if it helps. Hardware: P4 640 3.2 not OCed 4x512 Crucial VS512MB400 Abit AS8-v Intel 865PE Ati Radeon 9800 Pro Sony DVD burner, Toshiba Dvd reader both didn't work. I tried the DVD on my HP laptop and it booted to the install screen no issues. Not the case on this setup. I run -v so I can see where it stops and the install stops here with the iDeneb DVD: If you need more lines previous let me know. It doesn't look like any errors though. com_apple_driver_RTL8139: Ethernet address xx.... CODE SIGNING: cs_invalid_page: p=41[configd] clearing CS_VALID I tried searching around and either didn't find this error pertaining to pre-install, or there weren't any replies. I tried -v -x cpus=1 platform=ACPI|86PC -legacy from some similar posts but it didn't help. Thanks!! osxevo
I took a wild guess out of left field and disabled the onboard lan.. and it booted to the beginning of the install screen! Then, failed in another place when I connected a hard drive. Back over to the XxX, and it booted and sees my hard drive, so now I am going to experiment with these tons of kexts and see what works.. and see if I can somehow get my onboard LAN going. osxevo
Now I may be getting somewhere.. I got iATKOS v5 installed. But, when it tries to boot from the hard drive, it restarts endlessly. mnd643
Now I may be getting somewhere.. I got iATKOS v5 installed. But, when it tries to boot from the hard drive, it restarts endlessly. I'm actually working on getting the Ideneb 10.5.5 working on my desktop as well. Each time ive gotten it installed, it shows up towards the end with a circle+slash in the middle of it. The load cycle stops when it first starts to install the appl.iphone kext or something of that sort. I've gotten it installed so far on my laptop (ethernet isnt working, but thats it) and an external HDD (which is also hooked up to this desktop, and works perfectly...odd.). Anyway, hope I can find a solution at some point, if I do, ill post back here. mnd643
Update: The issue ended up being that i didnt have the correct kexts selected for the install. I was missing the one for the nvidia card (8800gts). Its working now, aside from the ethernet.
