7300 gs owners EFIStudio it´s wonderfull

I was Looking for "THE DRIVER" the one and only for my 7300gs 512 mb Pcie video card so I decided to take a look at the latest EFIStudio and voila there it was. Once loaded to the plist I lost QE though so it seems people recomend stuff that they only believe is ok and the developers behind these cool apps for obvious reasons have to trust it when people say stuff works cause there´s just so many different videocards around.

 

So if you have a 7300gs pcie card be it the 256 mb or the 512 mb and if you want QE, dual displays and Quartz GL try this one, it works for me. To activate Quartz GL use OSX86Tools. This kext makes the DVI first and the VGA second. The 7300gs 512 mb also seem to work with the EFIStudio 8800GTS 512 mb version though if you don´t wanna inject.

 

Remember to clear caches in the system/extensions/caches folder and to repair permissions.

This kext even work with two of these cards http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=290245141341 if you have my gear. I already had one of these cards bougth one more and plugged the new card in the second pcie slot and it worked right away.

 

GA EP45-DS3 mobo, q6600 cpu, Sata2 drives, Sata dvd, 123 boot installation, retail leo 10.5.5 and chameleon.

 

Got four monitors working. The order of the ports gets a little strange though so I´ll see if I can edit the kext, if not it´s just to figure it out by changing monitor cabels betwen the cards and rearange your monitors.

Hi, i've tried that kext right after installing Kalyway 10.5.2 (ASRock 4coredual-SATA2 R2.0, MSI Geforce 7300GS 256MB), and after rebooting I have enabled Quarz GL, but then after new rebooting everything is still the same, no changes, only 1024x768 supported (nor QE, though QuarzGL is now "supported")

 

Any idea of how to fix this? thank you!!
