Graphics only work in Safe Mode (after 10.5.3 update) - GA-EP45-UD3P / 7600GT

I just installed Kalyway 10.5.2, did the 10.5.3 combo update (with the vanilla kernel), did update -v, and everything worked fine. I got back into OSX and used it for a while then I needed to restart. Now I just get the (cornflower) blue screen instead of the login screen.

 

If I boot in safe mode (with -x) it seems to load just fine.

 

I'm guessing I need to change something while I'm in safe mode so I can stop booting with it. I'm just not sure what to change. Any ideas?
